47511 'Thames' gets the 0920 Brighton to Manchester Piccadilly on its way. The train is about to pass under the footbridge from Brighton signalbox into Montpelier sidings. Photo taken 10/3/83 by G.Edwards.Previous | NextLooking north at Newhaven Harbour station we see two Sealink Ferries tied up. The nearest one is the 'Caledonian Princess'. I couldn't make out the name of the rear ship but it appeared to be two words. Reference to the excellent http://www.doverferryphotos.co.uk site answered to question. It is the 'Maid of Kent' Photo probably taken 30/1/82, photographer unknown.
