E68000, this is the one and only Tyneside Electric Motor Parcels Van passing Lovers Walk Depot at Brighton presumably on a test train. Very similar to the SR MLV's but without the battery power. Probably taken around November 1955.

SR electric loco 20002 with a long and heavy boat train from Newhaven. Looks like at least 14 cars including a Pullman plus a pair of CCT's. Location is northbound near to Hamsey level crossing between Lewes and Cooksbridge. Thanks to Alan for nailing the location. Date unknown.Previous | Index
