56062Copyhold.JPG	DOH! 56062 took a tumble down the embankment at Copyhold Jct Haywards Heath after running through a red signal and being derailed on the catch points. The first wagon remained upright but derailed. The derailment took place on the 14/6/88, I expect this photo was taken then or the following day. The recovery of the locomotive wasn't completed until well into September and the steel pilling used to support the embankment around the loco can still easily be seen today.

The yard was being relayed for a short lived Amex contract which saw the MLV's come here along with some parcels vans. The Comet store in the old Pickfords Warehouse has been demolished and all this area is either under the Trafalgar Place office developement or the current building site called the New England Quarter. The train is probably on the fast lines so this would make it the afternoon service from Brighton.
