Summer 1977 its raining! Deltic 55014 "The Duke of Wellingtons Regiment" stands at Edinburgh Waveley. The name board is to commemorate 25 years of? Well according to the wealth of information at www.napierchronicles.co.uk this is the 1500 Edinburgh Kings X and the locomotive has the nameboard for the Silver Jubilee a named train that ran in 1977 to commorate the Queens silver Jubilee, they also nail the date as 4/8/77.....at least I rembembered it was the summer! Slide rescanned.
